Have you ever been on a bra website and the instructions of finding your size was to look on the bra chart to find your bra size or sister size?
The chart is a large diagram of bra sizes and sister sizes.
They assume women know their size. Many women guess their size and wear bras that do not fit. They don't know what a correctly fitting bra looks like. Many women and bra companies think the support comes from the straps. Bra brands and bra sites show bra straps that are wide with cushion for comfortable support.
Support comes from the band, not the straps. The straps are 20 percent of the support.
The band does all the work.
So...why do some bra sites use the chart? Because they don't know what correct fit looks like or how to attain it. They think the woman already knows her size, so they don't offer to measure and how to find your correct size to make sure she is in the right size bra.
Knowing your measurements is vital so you can know your correct bra size.
